Chelsea Captain John Terry Studying for Coaching Badges as He Considers Life After Retirement

Chelsea captain John Terry is currently studying for his coaching badges as he prepares himself for life after hanging up his boots.
The 35-year-old signed a new 12-month contract earlier this year to extend his time as a player at Stamford Bridge when it looked like things were drawing to a close.

Terry's absence through injury so far this season has also shown just how important he remains to a defensive unit that otherwise lacks leadership and organisation.

But for when it all does come to and end, the ex-England captain is ready to take the next step on the football ladde

Here is a picture he posted on instagram on his coaching badgeshttps://www.instagram.com/p/BLgesIcjhb2/

"Doing some homework for my coaching badges, and running through all the sessions I have written down over the years," Terry wrote as he uploaded an image of his various coaching materials and notes to Instagram.

Terry has been linked with being Chelsea player-manager at numerous points in the past during the club's rollercoaster relationship with several former bosses. Antonio Conte looks to be safe in the job for now, but fans will hope to see Terry's knowledge and experience retained at the club in at least some capacity.
Back in the here and now, Terry is expected to finally make his return to action when Chelsea face reigning Premier League champions Leicester on Saturday.

He hasn't been seen since in a Chelsea shirt for more than a month but has been back training with the squad in the days leading up the game at Stamford Bridge.
